Sequels always have a hard time carrying the torch; it's even harder when the first movie is as well-regarded as Halloween (1978). In 2018, Halloween returned to screens thanks to David Gordon Green, who very early on announced his intention to make a trilogy which would ignore the Rob Zombie reboot timeline.
